Havana 2016: Critics Prize to “Aquarius”
At the “38th Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano” (December 8-18, 2016, Havana, Cuba) the Critics Prize went to “Aquarius” by Kleber Mendonça Filho (Brazil, France, 2016, 145 mins, presented in the main feature-length fiction competition).
Jury members were Pamela Biénzobas, Chile (“Revista de Cine Mabuse.cl”, “Revista Cosas”), Gonzalo Palermo, Uruguay (“Semanario Brecha”, “Revista Seisgrados”), Juan Ramón Ferrera Vaillant, Cuba (“Vina Joven”, “La Gaceta de Cuba”).
