The FIPRESCI is proud to announce that the FIPRESCI Platinum Award 2026 was presented to acclaimed Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi.

Fredrikstad Animation Festival is pleased to announce a new collaboration with International Federation of Film Critics, welcoming the first official FIPRESCI critics’ jury at the 30th edition of the festival, taking place October 21–25, 2026.

FIPRESCI Panel Discussion Beyond the Review: Film Critics as Cultural and Political Voices took place at Malmö Arab Film Festival. In this session, critics talked openly about their work beyond the traditional review. Drawing from their experience engaging with films shaped by politics, displacement, and contested histories, they reflected on how criticism can affect how films are seen, understood, and remembered.
