The festival is known for its engagement for young and independent cinema and for cinema as art. Our “purpose is”, write the two directors, Giulia D’Agnolo Vallan and Roberto Turigliatto, “to constitute a meeting point for contemporary international cinema and to provide the opportunity for a discussion on all its perspectives and artistic trends. The Festival will pay particular attention to emerging cinemas and filmmakers.”

The Critics’ Prize went to Police Beat by Robinson Devor (USA).
