Motivation: “An unclassifiable film that crosses borders and blurs the boundaries between labor and love, past and present, the tragic and the transcendental, and the limited and the liberated. Like its migrant characters, its mysterious narrative and language expand our understanding of the human condition through moving image. For its underground love story that persists in its placelessness, we are thrilled to present the FIPRESCI Award to Việt and Nam by Trương Minh Quý.”
