The Portuguese festival celebreated this year it’s 20th edition. A special series was dedicated to “Football in Cinema” (a few weeks before the European Championship in Portugal takes place). Ettore Scola, the Italian filmmaker, enjoyed a retrospective of his films. The competition focused on films from countries which don’t produce more than twenty films a year. Our jury awarded the FIPRESCI Prize to the young Israeli filmmaker Shemi Zarhin for his film “Bonjour, Monsieur Shlomi”.
