Motivation: “The film tells the story of a family living in Iceland. They are facing the wild nature, the difficult relationship between a married couple and complicated desires of creativity that portraits strong femininity. The bravery of the character is reflected through art, nature and the style of filmmaking. Hlynur Pálmason managed the three fundamental aspects of the film – direction, screenplay and cinematography – in a radical and confident way”.
