Alexander Yanakiev (13. January 1955 – 11. June 2015)

The Bulgarian film critic and journalist, scientist and scholar Alexander Yanakiev passed unexpectedly away. He was a prominent historian of Bulgarian cinema, author of many articles and of two books: “Encyclopedia of Bulgarian Cinema” (2000) and “Cinema.bg. A Hundred Years Film Process” (2003). He had two mandates a President of the Bulgarian Film Critics Guild. He was an active FIPRESCI member and member of the European Film Academy. (Bojidar Manov)
