Best Indian Film of 2014
Indian Critics, members of FIPRESCI India, selected the best Indian film of the year 2014: “Elizabeth Ekadashi” (Marathi, 2014), directed by Paresh Mokashi. Motivation: “The innocence of the child characters has been brought out most naturally without burdening them too much with the pathos of the social reality which is the bane of the independent cinema in India.” The award ceremony is planned to be hold in Mumbai, at a later date.
