“Filminute” – Shortest Film Festival
“Filminute”. The virtual film festival presents one-minute films and organizes, once a year (in autumn), an international competition. An international jury of professionals sees and judges the submitted films. For the 2017 edition, the Romanian critic Dana Duma will be the juror representing FIPRESCI. The festival writes: “What makes a great one-minute film? The best one-minute films resonate beyond one minute and affect audiences the same way any great film does. The challenge, of course, is to do it all in 60 seconds – no more, no less.” Plans to evolve the festival include the idea to use the feedback generated by the audience and jury to identify films and filmmakers worthy of funds and support to develop longer films.
