Goran Paskaljevic Honored
At the 24th edition of the International Film Festival Innsbruck, Serbian filmmaker Goran Paskaljevic was awarded the festival’s “Prize of Honor”. In his laudatory speech, FIPRESCI General Secretary Klaus Eder stated: “The stories which Goran Paskaljevic finds and puts on screen are tightestly linked to the history of his country. This makes him a truly European filmmaker. On of the best.” The festival presented a selection of his films. Photo: Goran Paskaljevic (right), Klaus Eder.
Goran Paskaljevic has, from 1990, won several critics prizes given by FIPRESCI, among them the “European Critics Award” 1998 for his film “The Powder Keg” (“Cabaret Balkan”).
