Critics Appreciate Turkish Films in Istanbul
At the International Istanbul Film Festival (Turkey, April 6–17, 2016) the Critics Jury awarded three Turkish movies:
International Competition: “All Of A Sudden” (Ansizin / Auf einmal) by Asli Özge (Germany, The Netherlands, 2016, 112 min, DCP).
Turkish Competition: “Motherland” (Ana yurdu) by Senem Tüzen (Turkey, Greece, 2015, 94 min, DCP).
Turkish Short Film Competiton: “Jamais vu” by Levent Türkan (Turkey, 2016, 7 min, DCP).
Jury members were Chris Fujiwara, USA, president; Harri Römpötti, Finland (“Helsingin Sanomat”); Ali Deniz Sensoz, Turkey (“Altyazi”); Patrizia Pistagnesi, Italy (“Wikiradio / Radio RAI3”); Viera Langerová, Slovakia (“Filmpress.sk”, “Film a Doba”); Senem Erdine, Turkey (“Radikal”).
