FIPRESCI’s Best Foreign Language Film 2015
Palm Springs (USA, 27th Palm Springs International Film Festival, January 1-11, 2016). International Critics’ Prize (FIPRESCI Prize) for the Best Foreign Language Film of the Year (2015): “The Assassin” (Nie yin niang) by Hou Hsiao-hsien (Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, 2015, 120 min).
The prize for best actor is shared by Sigurður Sigurjonsson and Theodór Júliússon for their performances in the Icelandic film “Rams” (Hrútar).
The prize for best actress goes to Alena Mihulová for her performance in the Czech film “Home Care” (Domácí péce). Sales: M-Appeal (Germany).
