FIPRESCI AT SCHWERIN
At the 25th edition of the “filmkunstfest” in the German city of Schwerin (May 5-19, 2015), a jury of three German-language film critics will present the FIPRESCI Prize to a feature-length fiction film in competition. The jurors will be Christiane Deriaz, Austria (“Celluloid Filmmagazin”), Achim Hättich, Suisse (“Filmbulletin”) and Rolf Rüdiger Hamacher, Germany (“Filmecho”, “Filmdienst”).
The Festival shows also a program of films from the Baltic countries which had won the FiPRESCI Prize in 2014 (curated by Ingrid Beerbaum and Katharina Dockhorn). The films are: “Leviathian” (Andrey Zvyagintsev, Russia); “I Am Yours / Jeg er din” (Iram Haq, Norway); “Free Range – Ballad on Approving the World / Free Range – Ballaad Maailma Heakskiitmisest” (Veiko Ounpuu, Estonia); “Heart of a Lion / Leijonasydän” (Dome Karukoski, Finland); and “Force Majeure / Turist” (Ruben Östlund, Sweden).
