Africa on the Screen
At the Toronto International Film Festival (Canada, September 8-18, 2016), the Critics Jury presented two prizes: to a film in the “Discovery” section; and to a film in “Special Presentations”.
Prize, Discovery: “Kati Kati” by Mbithi Masya (Kenya, Germany, 2015, 75 min). Production: One Fine Day Films (www.onefinedayfilms.com), Ginger Ink Films.
Prize, Special Presentations: “I Am Not Madame Bovary” (Wo bu shi Pan Jin Lian) by Feng Xiaogang (China 2016, 137 min). Production: Beijing Skywheel Entertainment Co., Beijing Sparkle Roll International Culture Industry, Huayi Brothers Media.
