Anne Küper

Anne Küper (she/her) is a cultural scholar, critic, and artist. Since 2018, her texts have been published in CARGO Film/Medien/Kultur, critic.de, der Freitag, Filmbulletin, Filmdienst, kolik.film, Sissy, and Tagesspiegel, among others. Since 2023, she has been managing director on the board of the German Film Critics Association.
Regular teaching assignments, lecturing and moderating activities, member of various juries, including jury member for the prestigious Grimme Award in the category Information & Culture (2024, 2025) and member of the selection committee for the German entry at the 98th Academy Awards (OSCAR) in the category International Feature Film (2026).
Both her artistic practice and her critical writing have been recognized with numerous awards, most recently with the AICA Prize for Young Art Criticism 2025. She is currently a doctoral candidate at the Ruhr University Bochum, where she is researching intimate relationships with chatbots.
