Antonio Méndez Esparza

San Sebastian 2017, catalogue: “Antonio Méndez Esparza was born in Madrid, but has developed his career in the United States. He directed the short films “Yamira” (2006) and “Una y otra vez” (2009), winner among others of the Versión Española-SGAE Award from RTVE and Best Spanish Short, the DGA Student Award for Best Latino Director – East Region, and Best Short Film Award at the Los Angeles Film Festival. His first feature film, “Aquí y allá” (2012), premiered at the Cannes Festival, where it received the Critics’ Week Award. “Life and Nothing More” is his second feature.
