Aylin Sayın Gönenç

She is a film critic from Istanbul, founder of and writing for the regularly published magazine Yeni Film. After finishing her master degree on cinema and literature, she got a scholarship as a visiting student at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi where she made a research on the history of Indian cinema. She has a published book on India and where she wrote about Indian cinema from a political – social point of view. Also, she hosted a radio program on Bollywood cinema and its music. She has finished her PhD thesis with the title Construction of the Autonomous Field in Turkish Cinema after the Nineties which is about the formation of Turkish art cinema on Bourdieuian perspective. She is currently deepening her studies on symbolic capital of art field.
