Christos Skyllakos

Christos Skyllakos is a film critic and theorist, photographer, visual artist, and book editor. He teaches film theory, history & film analysis, and theory and practice of still photography. He has participated in film festival juries as a member of FIPRESCI in Greece and abroad and has taken part as a guest lecturer at conferences and academic lectures related to film theory, film sociology and film history. He is the researcher and author on the history of film criticism in Greece in relation to Greek cinema entitled “Greek criticism & Greek cinema, 1925-1975” with a grant of the Greek Ministry of Culture. As an artist, he has taken part in collective exhibitions and as a curator organizes collective photography/visual art exhibitions and film events. He is a member of the board of the Greek Union of Film Critics (PEKK), member of Chambre des Arts Plastiques de Grece (EETE), the Association Internationale des Arts Plastiques (AIAP), a UNESCO NGO Partner.
