Daryel Hernández Vázquez is a journalist, photographer, and film critic. He graduated in Information Sciences from the Faculty of Communication at the University of Havana. Master’s degree in Audiovisual Culture from the University of the Arts. Texts and essays specializing in film have been published in national and international media such as: “Cartelera Cine y Vídeo,” “La Jiribilla,” “Cine Latinoamericano”, “Árbol Invertido” and “Diario del Festival,” among others. Writer of the television program “Banda Sonora” on Canal Habana. Member of the 44th and 45th editions of the Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano of Havana and was a member of the collateral jury of the Cuban Association of Film Press (ACPC), the national section of the International Federation of Film Press (FIPRESCI), an organization of which he is a member, for the 45th edition of the Festival. Participated as editor, photographer, and producer in the short films “La fibra,” “Diálogo de uno en dos,” and “Círculos concéntricos,” which have won several awards at international competitions. Director of the short film “La Pesadilla” and the documentary “La Razón de las Palabras”.
