Giulio Zoppello
Film Critic, Italy
Was born in Padua in 1985 and graduated in Journalism at the University of Verona. Since 2016 I started to collaborate with several paper and online magazines, as a critic and correspondent at the Cannes Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, Rome Film Festival, Torino Film Festival and Trieste Science+ Fiction Festival. At the moment I mainly collaborate with Esquire Italia, Wired Italia, with Citynews.it and Screenweek.it, focusing on reviews, in-depth reports and interviews, for everything related to the small and big screen. I also carry out the activity of moderator at film festivals and events. I published in 2019 with Viola Editrice “Il Cinema al tempo del terrore,” an analysis of how the seventh art described the post-9/11 world and terrorism. I believe in the power of words, in film journalism as something based on consistency, impartiality and honesty, in never thinking we are infallible.”
