Jean-Christophe Berjon

Jean-Christophe Berjon began as a stage director (Topor, Ionesco…), before becoming, in 1994, a film critic, hosting both TV and radio programs about cinema. From 1997 to 2005, he ran the fortnightly magazine Les Fiches du Cinéma and the encyclopedic work L’Annuel du Cinéma. He then participated in numerous publications, and has been involved in Le Cercle (Canal+ Cinéma) since 2005. In 2008, he directed a documentary about Mexican cinema for Canal+. Former General Secretary of the Syndicat Français de la Critique de Cinéma, he is, since 2004, Artistic Director of the International Critics’ Week in Cannes. He is also International Assessor for the Morelia Film Festival (Mexico) and, as of this year, Artistic Director of the Biarritz Film Festival.
