Joan Pons

Born in 1973 in Barcelona. He holds a degree in Communication Sciences from the UAB, where he taught Audiovisual Communication between 1995 and 2006. Since 1994, he has worked as an editor, writer, and critic of music, comics, cinema, books, and television series in several publications, especially in magazines like ‘Rockdelux’ and ‘Fotogramas,’ and in newspapers such as ‘Avui’ (1995-1999) and ‘Ara’ (2013-2018). He has worked for Canal 33 of Televisió de Catalunya, at the production company El Terrat, at the music documentary festival In-Edit, and at the advertising agency O Estudio Creativo. He directed the On Screen section at Primavera Pro, Primavera Sound’s event for music and audiovisual industry professionals, and in 2017 he became Director of Communication for Primavera Sound.
