Juan Carlos Lemus Polanía

Colombian film critic and director of the podcast Cine con Acento. He covers major international film festivals including Berlin, Cannes, and Venice. His writing has appeared in La Ventana Indiscreta and Desistfilm, as well as in outlets such as El Espectador, Cambio, Cero en Conducta, Rolling Stone, and The End (Colombia). He has served as a juror at several film festivals, including the FIPRESCI jury at the Berlinale (Panorama section) and the Festival Al Este in Lima. He completed a Master’s in Practical Philosophy at UNAD (Spain) in 2016 and trained in Creative Writing at Escuela de Escritores de Madrid in 2013. He holds an MBA in Marketing from Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá) and a degree in Electronic Engineering from UPB (Medellín). He is also a father, music selector and DJ, and a triathlete.
