Katrin Hillgruber works and lives as a freelance journalist, film and literary critic for several newspapers, radio stations and the online film magazine Artechock in Munich. She studied German Literature, Theatre Sciences and East European History. Her main focus of interest is dedicated to the East European, German, Italian and French Cinema. Since 2015 she works as a curator for the Munich festival filmPolska and its successor Mittel Punkt Europa Filmfest.
