Maja Korbecka is a freelance film critic, translator and film studies researcher with a focus on Sinophone cinemas. She is currently pursuing a PhD in the Graduate School of East Asian Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin with the dissertation on China’s art cinema in the context of film festivals. Contributor to Senses of Cinema, The China Project and EKRANy magazine. Berlinale Talents Press 2020 and Far East Film Festival Campus 2017 alumna.
