At the age of 16, Marc Hairapetian founded the fanzine Spirit – Ein Lächeln im Sturm (Spirit – A Smile in the Storm), which he still edits today as a magazine for film, theatre, music, literature and audio plays. Since 2021, he has also been running the YouTube interview channel The Spirit Meets. As a film journalist, he writes for Frankfurter Rundschau, Berliner Zeitung, Tagesspiegel and Junge Welt, among others, as well as for the Austrian film magazine Ray. Apart from that, he is working on a biography of the Austrian actor Oskar Werner under the preliminary title “Genius between Day and Dream”. His constant companion is his Siberian wolfdog husky mix Felix, whenever possible also in juries.
