Marko Njegic

Marko Njegic (born 1979) is the most active Croatian film critic of the younger generation. He studied law in Split and journalism in Zagreb. Since 2005 he has lived in Split, where he works as a film critic at the daily newspaper “Slobodna Dalmacija”, covering film festivals in Croatia (Pula, Motovun, Vukovar…) and abroad (Cannes, Venice…), publishing reviews, essays, interviews, and two regular movie columns. He has also worked with the Split Film Festival and has contributed to the radio programme “Odiseja u svemiru”, the journal for filmology and film criticism “Hrvatski filmski ljetopis”, and the website popcorn.hr. He was also editor of the first Croatian movie magazine, “Hollywood”.
