Michael Ranze

Michael Ranze (born in Hamm, Germany) studied science of theatre and sociology in Erlangen. He currently works as a freelance film journalist for the magazines “Filmbulletin”, “film-dienst” and “Ray”. He writes mainly reviews and interviews on film. He has written essays on King Vidor, Yasujiro Ozu, Frank Borzage, Mikio Naruse, Wim Wenders, Scarlett Johansson, Vincente Minnelli, Otto Preminger, Ken Loach, George Cukor, fetishism and film, journalism and film and “Bergfilm”. He lives in Hamburg.
