Rolf Rüdiger Hamacher

Rolf Rüdiger Hamacher is a film critic from Cologne in Germany. He founded several cine-clubs in the sixties and worked as an assistant director in theatre and film productions. Since 1966 he has been reviewing films for newspapers and movie magazines. He has also worked as a programmer and curator for several movie theatres and has co-authored film books. He was a teacher of media and film history at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences. Today, he continues to work as a film critic and curates the children’s film section at the Festival of German Film in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
