Vladimir Angelov
Film Critic, North Macedonia
Born in Skopje in 1968. After graduating from the School of Drama in his hometown and briefly working as a producer, in 1995 he moved to the Film Archive of North Macedonia, where he continues to work. For eleven years, he was responsible for the institution’s program, and in 2017 he was appointed interim director, a position that became permanent officially a year later, and in which he remained until February 2024. During this period, the institution published fourteen books on film and on creators such as Luis Buñuel and Dina Yordanova, among others. Since 1995, he has regularly collaborated with Kinopis (the country’s only printed film magazine) and has also participated in different projects like ‘Photography and Cinema in the Ground of Macedonia’ and ‘Trajce Popov’.
