Wolfgang Lasinger is a Munich-based film scholar and freelance film critic. As a film critic, he writes mainly about arthouse films and independent cinema for the online journal Artechock Filmmagazin. As a film scholar, he teaches French and Spanish / Latin American film and literature at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU). Main interest: French poetic realism; Italian neorealism and its impact as aesthetic paradigm; Luis Buñuel; Third Cinema in Latin America.
