Discovered in the Un certain regard of the Cannes festival, the astonishing debut by Polish director Slawomir Fabicki, Retrieval (Z odzysku), received the International Critics’ prize in the festival organized in the Slovakian capital city. It’s a festival with a huge program. Besides the competition for first and second feature films it offered 200 others films in the sections Made in Euro, Off the Mainstream, The Other Balkan, Slovak films 2006, films from Asia, America and Australia and a retrospective with ten filmy by Michael Winterbottom.
