One of the critics’ favorites in Cannes last year, The Consequences of Love (Le conseguenze dell’amore) by Paolo Sorrentino, is still touring through festivals. It received our prize in Haifa, the festival which has been founded in 1983 and was the first of its kind in Israel. Particularly interesting: an Israeli film competition, and an overview on new films from the Mediterranean countries. The section “New Directors” presents young cinema from all over the world — section on which our jury focused.
