BIFF, the Busan International Film Festival(previously Pusan International Film Festival, PIFF), now in its 9th edition, is one of the leading film events in Asia. The city of Busan has a young and enthusiastic public of filmgoers, queuing up to see the best examples of recent world cinema. For foreigners, the Asian selection and in particular new Korean films are of a special interest. Many fest directors attend, to make a selection for their own events.
