Farrebique – The Projection
Nice and warm moment for the FIPRESCI, Friday the 13th on the Bunuel Screening room’s stage. “Farrebique” by Georges Rouquier, our very first price in 1946, during the very first Cannes Film Festival, was screened in a wonderful brand restaured copy. Hosted by Gerald Duchaussoy from Cannes Classics (from right to left on the picture), the distributor of the film, Brigitte Berg, one actor of the film, Maurice Rouquier (he was the baby born during the shooting and has quite a few close ups in the arms of his mother!) and our president and colleague Alin Tasciyan presented the screening, which marks the 70th anniversary of our price in the Cannes Film Festival.
