Annika Koppel

Annika Koppel, born in 1964 in Estonia, worked for the big Estonian daily newspapers “Päevaleh” and “Postimees”. Since 2000, she is a freelance journalist and film critic writing for several publications from daily newspapers to specialized cultural magazines. Since 2005, she was managing the project “Estonian Film 100”, whose aim is to make a wide range of preparations to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Estonian film in 2012. She also is a scriptwriter and editor of two documentaries about film history in Estonia The Coming of Spring (2006) and Looking for Nipernaadi (2007). Since 2006 she has been a coordinator of the Estonian film program for the Black Nights Film Festival (in Tallinn).
