Deniz Sertkol

Deniz Sertkol is a Brooklyn-based curator, critic and film worker from Munich, Germany. She has written about film since 2009 in various online- and offline outlets, such as Fragment Film, Berliner Filmfestivals, and Jungle World. She has worked for film festivals, such as the Berlin Critics’ Week, the Filmfest Munich and the Berlinale Forum, where she was also part of the screening team. Apart from curating film programs at the Goethe-Institut’s Film Department in Munich, she has programmed films for the German Film Office in New York and is currently on the screening committee for True/False Film Fest in Columbia, Missouri. Deniz has been a member of the German Film Critics Association (VdFK) since 2015.
