Journalist, PhD on Cinema from the University of São Paulo; professor in the Cinema and Audiovisual course at the Pelotas Federal University, where coordinates a research project on peripheral cinematographies; former president of the Brazilian Association of Film Critics – Abraccine (2019-2021) and the Rio Grande do Sul Association of Film Critics (2008-2010); editor of Teorema magazine and a permanent contributor for the CinemaEscrito website; author of the books “Mediocrity”, “Discovering Iran”, “Samovar in the Tropics” and “Peripheral Cinemas – aesthetics and non-hegemonic contexts”; organized the books “Bernardet 80: Impact and Influence on Brazilian Cinema” and “Ismail Xavier – a thinker of Brazilian cinema”. She was a Fipresci jury at the festivals in festivals such as Havana, Cartagena, Toronto, Mar del Plata, Festival do Rio, San Sebastian. She has done interviews about cinema in countries like Iran, India, North Korea and Canadá.
