José Antonio Teodoro

José Teodoro‘s writing on cinema has appeared in publications such as Film Comment, Cinema Scope, and Bloodvine. His book Nothing But Time: Conversations with Peter Mettler on Life and Cinema was recently published by Anvil Press. This publication coincided with Nothing But Time: The Films of Peter Mettler, which José programmed for Toronto’s TIFF Cinematheque, and which will tour in truncated form in other cities in 2026. José’s literary prose has appeared publications such as Brick, The Fiddlehead, and Geist. His performance works include Island, winner of the Lee Prize For New Canadian Plays, and Screen Door, which was adapted into the eponymous debut LP by Applied Silence, José’s group with musician-composer Stephen Lyons, and is available via Offseason Records. joseteodoro.com
