Olivier Bachelard

Olivier Bachelard is editor in chief of the French, cinema dedicated website, Abus de ciné (www.abusdecine.com), based in Lyon, created in February 2002, after a short print period from October 2001. He was responsible for the cinema chronicles of trimestrial Tendances Magazine for 7 years (2007 to 2013) and has some reviews published in Tribune de Lyon (weekly) and Exit Mag (monthly).

He has also been head of selection for long features, and part of the selection committee for short movies, for Face a Face Film Festival in Saint Etienne, France, from 2015 to 2019. He’s been a jury member for short movies in Face a Face Night of shorts in 2014 and Roanne Ciné court animé in 2016, and for long features in Meyzieu European film festival in 2021, coordinating this specific jury.
