Suncica Unevska

Suncica Unevska worked as a journalist and film critic for the daily newspaper “Utrinski vesnik” since 1999, and at the moment she works for the Nova Makedonija Daily. Previously she had worked for the daily news, for the news agencies, for the weekly and online magazines and for very influential periodical magazines in Macedonia about film, culture and social issues “Kulturen zivot” and “Kinopi” and had also collaborated for the Austrian magazine “Springerin” and the Bulgarian “Kino”. She is representative of Macedonia in the Association of Film Critics at the International Federation “Fipresci”, and has participated as a member of the jury in many festivals. She has worked as a media and program coordinator and selector at the Festival of German Film and the Festival of European Film “Cinedays” in Skopje. She has been a selector for five years of the programme “New Visions” at the oldest International Cinematographers’ Film Festival “Manaki Brothers” in Bitola, Macedonia, which she had established in 2009. For four years she has worked as a selector for Macedonia at the Motovun Film Festival in Motovun, Croatia. She is author of the booklet “10 Laureates at SEE Festival Asterfest”, which is held in Strumica, Macedonia. Recently she has published her first book with film critics “The Seventh Seal”. This year she has established the First International Festival of Engaged Film OHRID FILM FEST and, also, she have published the first monthly magazine for film in Macedonia “Film Plus” in which she is an editor.
