Grand Prix 2016 Call for Votes
Dear colleagues,
It’s Grand Prix time again! So please get ready to vote for your personal favourite films of the past year, so we can choose the one that will receive our Grand Prix for the Best Film of the Year. The award will be presented during the opening ceremony of the San Sebastian Film Festival, which will take place on the 16th of September.
Voting will be once again online, and it will take place in two phases.
Phase 1 – All members of FIPRESCI are invited to vote online for any one, two or three feature-length film of any origin and nature, that had their world première no earlier than July 1st 2015. Please check the dates (for instance on IMDB) to make sure the film is eligible.
You can cast your votes for this initial phase anytime between now and Friday, July 22. After that, it will be technically impossible to add any vote, as we will move on to Phase 2.
Phase 2 – You will then be invited to choose one title from a shortlist that will come out of this open vote, also via an online poll.
Please note that in both phases you will be requested to identify yourself. This is simply meant to make sure that the poll is answered (only once) by members of FIPRESCI. Only I will have access to this confidential information.
Kind regards,
Pamela Biénzobas
