Athens Colloque 2024
European National Cinemas – A Look into the Future
Dear European Colleagues,
You are welcome to participate in a colloque organized at the 37th “Athens Panorama of European Cinema”. The date: Saturday, 23rd of November, 2024. You are invited to discuss film financing, production, distribution of European films within the European countries, screenings in theatres, platforms and other means of streaming, the role of film criticism under the title “The European Cinema of the Crisis – National Cinemas and a Look into the Future”
Participants can choose any or a number of these themes. The presentations are not to exceed 15 minutes, to be written in English and given beforehand for translation to Greek. The invitation covers travel expenses within Europe (to be discussed directly with the festival organizers) and two nights of accommodation in Athens, November 22 – 24, 2024. The selection of participants will be made on a ‘first come first served’ basis by FIPRESCI, further discussions with the festival may result in changes due to travel conditions. (Alin Tasciyan)
