The Los Cabos Festival (Mexico) finishes to host our jury
Letter from Maru Garzón, the Festival’s Artistic Director
Dear Klaus,
I hope everything is well with you.
I’m writing to you as the Festival is coming and we would like to share with you the possibility of not having Fipresci Jury for this edition. As you might be aware, this year, in particular, the general situation in Mexico in terms of the budget has been hard. In specific cultural manifestations have to tighten up to maintain themselves in the cultural panorama. Derived from these circumstances we won’t be able to take care of flights and lodging of the jury members.
I’m sure you are sensitive to this kind of situation as well as to the measures that the institutions have to take to continue with their mission.
We hope to be able to re-insert this as well as some other important initiatives for the festival in the near future.
We look forward to hearing your thoughts on this.
Very best regards,
Maru
