The Venice Critics’ Poll 2017
FIPRESCI members who will attend the Venice Film Festival 2017 are kindly invited to participate in the »FNE FIPRESCI Critics’ Poll« (which we organize together with the online magazine “FNE – Film New Europe”).
You will be asked to rate any feature-length film you see in the official main competition and the “Horizons” section (Orrizonti), as well as in the independent sections »Venice Days« (Giornate degli Autori) and »International Critics’ Week« (Settimana della Critica).
This is a poll, not a jury. You rate only the films that you see (with one to five stars).
The results will be published daily on www.filmneweurope.com.
We have three options for inscriptions:
1. Attending the festival for the first five days: 30 August 30 – September 5.
2. Attending the festival for the last five days: September 5-9.
3. Attending the whole festival: August 30 – September 9.
Send an email to critics@filmneweurope.com indicating your choice of dates.
The poll will be limited to 20 critics, members of FIPRESCI, selected on a first come — first serve basis. Members of any Venice jury are of course excluded.
This year the Lithuanian Film Centre www.lkc.lt has teamed up with FNE to offer the first five participating critics a gift of two rare, beautifully restored classic Lithuanian films, “The Beauty / Gražuole” (1969) directed by Arunas Zebriunas; and “Children From The Hotel America / Vaikai iš Amerikos Viešbucio” (1990) directed by Raimundas Banionis.
