CJ Johnson is President of the Film Critics Circle of Australia. He lectures on cinema at the Art Gallery of New South Wales and other prestigious institutions, is a Golden Globes Voter and a member of FIPRESCI, the International Federation of Film Critics. He is the film critic for Mornings on ABC Radio Australia, a columnist for Metro Magazine, and Head Lecturer in Screen Storytelling at Sydney Film School. He served on the jury of the 47th Norwegian International Film Festival in 2019 and the Oberhausen Short Film Festival in 2023.
