Kira Taszman

Kira Taszman, who grew up in Berlin and Paris, studied German and Slavic studies. She is a translator and film journalist specialising in French and Eastern European film and a member of the German Film Critics Association (VdFk). She has published in the Nürnberger Zeitung, Neues Deutschland, taz, filmecho/filmwoche, Screen International and Filmdienst, among others. She regularly attends international festivals such as New Horizons in Wroclaw, the Festival of East European Cinema in Cottbus, the London Film Festival and, of course, the Berlinale. She has also been a member of FIPRESCI juries at several festivals (Reykjavik, Cluj, Haugesund, Vienna and others).
