Senem Erdine
Film Critic, Turkey
Senem Erdine was born in İzmir and studied History at Boğaziçi University. She began her career at the monthly film magazine Sinema in 1995, where she worked as a writer, editor, and eventually editor-in-chief until 2013.
In 2016, she began programming films at the TÜRSAK Foundation, and later served as the director of the Rendezvous Istanbul International Film Festival, organized by TÜRSAK, in 2017 and 2018.
She then joined the founding team of Sinematek/Sinema Evi, a cinematheque project launched under the Kadıköy Municipality. Sinematek/Sinema Evi began operating in 2021 and became a member of the International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF) in 2023, joining the global network of cinematheques.
As part of its management team, she curated film programs and handled international relations. She has served on selection committees and juries at numerous national and international film festivals.
Senem Erdine is a member of the Turkish Film Critics Association (SİYAD).
