FIPRESCI Grand Prix 2021

Dear colleagues,

We again invite you to look back on the last twelve months in cinema and to choose the film which will receive the “FIPRESCI Grand Prix” as best film of the year 2021, to be presented at the opening ceremony of the San Sebastian Film Festival, on September 17, 2021.

All members of FIPRESCI are invited to participate in an online poll.

In an initial phase, all members are invited to nominate up to three films (feature-length, of any origin and nature) that had their world premiere no earlier than July 1st, 2020.

Propose one, two or three titles, as well as the director’s name, in order of preference. Make sure the films had their world premiere no earlier than July 1st, 2020, otherwise they cannot be considered.

Nominations will be accepted until Thursday, July 22 (midnight CEST).

In a second phase, we will ask you to vote on a shortlist of candidates.
