FIPRESCI Unveils a New Design to Celebrate 100th Anniversary
Entering the new centennial of its existence, the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) has launched an update for the visual identity to mark its 100th anniversary. This important step was implemented in collaboration with a talented Ukrainian designer Lili Topor.

2025 marks an important milestone for the federation that celebrates 100 years of continuous collaboration between film critics worldwide. At the moment, FIPRESCI prides itself in uniting colleagues from more than 80 countries. The list of FIPRESCI-accredited festivals has reached the number of 80 and is constantly expanding, providing our colleagues with the opportunity to discover new destinations and encouraging the exchange of ideas and experiences. That corresponds to the key FIPRESCI value stated in the federation’s Statute: to create, outside all ideological and political distinctions, a new foundation for a permanent dialogue.
As FIPRESCI continues to evolve, the digital transformation underscores its commitment to promoting film culture and criticism in the modern era, while cherishing traditions and values defined by our predecessors.
The new visual identity reflects four main FIPRESCI values:
- Knowledge
- Creativity
- Independence
- Dialogue & Education

The chosen color palette reflects the essence and values of FIPRESCI. Deep hues are inspired by cinematic lighting, reminiscent of the soft glow of a screen in a darkened theater. The tone represents the tradition of film criticism, referencing text printed on paper. This combination creates a balanced visual system that seamlessly bridges journalism and the art of cinema.

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of FIPRESCI, a special edition of the logo has been designed, seamlessly integrating the number “100” into the existing identity. This symbolizes a century of excellence in film criticism. A platinum graphic element enhances the design, underscoring the logo’s commemorative significance.

The official FIPRESCI diploma has been designed with a consistent visual identity, featuring the iconic illustration by Glauber Rocha, framed within the signature double border.

The official FIPRESCI laurels and a special anniversary version have been designed as a recognizable mark of distinction for awarded films and honourees.
